About Dr. Privette:
Dr. Camille Brown Privette is the President of the Consortium of Catholic Academies in Washington, DC. She holds a B.A. in History from Franklin and Marshall College, an M.A. in Theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary and a PH.D. in Educational Administration from Boston College. In her early career, Dr. Brown Privette served the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for 18 years before moving to Providence, Rhode Island to lead as the Assistant Superintendent for Catholic Schools. She joined the Archdiocese of Baltimore in 2011 as Associate Superintendent. Dr. Brown Privette has served on various boards during her professional career and has been awarded many honors for her philanthropic efforts both nationally and internationally. Dr. Brown Privette founded the Bakhita Fund to provide educational assistance to children around the world. She has been a missionary in Africa for 20 years and continues to lecture on a plethora of educational topics around the world. During her 30 plus years in Catholic education, Dr. Brown Privette has been a teacher, principal, author, lecturer and leader. She has penned many articles and three books, most notably, African Saints, African Stories: 40 Holy Men and Women.
